Edward's restoration is complete...He had a new neck joint and 4 replacement paw pads using vintage fabric. (it was agreed that a colour blending in with his fabric colour would look really nice)
He was also given a very light clean and had areas of very fine sewing to reinforce loose areas of the weave in the fabric.
His owner wanted his smile left just as it was but it did need a few tiny invisible stitches which were added to strengthen the existing yarn.
I also made Edward a ruffled collar from vintage ribbon and silk chiffon...I think he looks rather dapper now!
I'm just knitting a couple of scarves for a customer and when they are finished I'll post a photo of the next bear I'll be restoring...this one is super cute and will be available to purchase so please do check back next week....
