I have now completed all the reinforcement of the weak fabric around Oliver's snout....He is looking so much better now...I've also started on lining his ears (hence one missing in the photo!) Once both ears have been reinforced and stitched back into place I will work on his nose and mouth stitching being careful to blend the yarn to match the original...The aim is to replace a few stitches but not make it look too new, it's important to keep as much of his old character and history as possible. I will also resew his eyes back into place as original... So Oliver will take me several more weeks to restore and dress but with such a beautiful old bear he will be worth all the effort...Thanks for following the updates...More to follow next Friday....
